DISCOUNT COLLECTIVE
Discount collective was invented by Lucia and Elli, who studied circus together in Portugal and seek to realise their ideas and visions about circus, art and life. Their parallel research reaches into the fields of visual arts, movement and performing arts tracing a constant exchange between circus and contemporary art. In 2019, still in an academic scope, they developed a performance called “Coinsidences”, which explored "bodies in toilet spaces.
Noise outside
We want to escape the classical stage situation, seeking to let the audience become co-actor in the performance, so that they have an immediate influence on what happens and can confront us about what is plannable. How can a performance be planned on stage when chance is warmly invited?
In "outside noise" there are voices and apparatus. Our voices and the voices of the audience. In "noise outside " there are objects, both ours and the spectators'. Objects make sounds. The bodies move.
