A KNOT DOESN`T HAVE A DIRECTION
The knot is sovereign, it holds itself. It has no direction and it works against time.
The knot turns a line into a space. In its interwoven construction it embodies security and risk, structure and chaos, satisfaction and frustration. It requires patience. The knot is the problem and the solution.
A 15 min performance about the embodiment of knots and a rope and the reflection on being torn in a time of extreme intensity.
A research that deals with the intensive time in circus school. Torn between extreme physical exhaustion and physical strength, both simultaneously anchored in the body. Dedication and rejection towards the “concept” of circus shape my thoughts. The knot - a paradox of my reflections.
